Ninja CT682SP Intelli-Sense Review: Most Versatile Blender Yet?

When Ninja came to the blending scene, it seems that their aim was to dislodge Nutribullet as a leader in manufacturing compact blenders.

Ninja CT682SP Intelli-Sense Review

But that does not seem the case with their newest products like the Ninja CT682SP Intelli-Sense.

This blender is an all-around workhorse that does not only make smoothies and salsa dips, it also doubles as a food processor and spiralizer – turning veggies into fresh noodles.

What to expect from the Ninja CT682SP Intelli-Sense?

The biggest selling point of the Ninja CT682SP would be its versatility and usability.

Intelli-Sense

Each container has the “Intelli-Sense” feature where the base automatically will detect what you use and then show you the proper preset or “Smart Program”.

So there are 4 containers, each with its own preset.

In a nutshell, this blender will replace several appliances such as the food processor and blender. The base is smart enough to recognize what container you put in, and it’ll adjust presets accordingly.

Not only can you make smoothies but also chop food, make hummus and even mix dough.

It is that versatile.

Single serve drinks

Like the Nutribullet, this also comes with a small 24 ounce container with its blade that allows you to make single-serve smoothies. And the beauty of this is you don’t have to buy a separate appliance for it!

It may not be as consistent as a Vitamix blender but it’s more than $100 cheaper than the cheapest Ascent blender.

Auto-Spiralizer

This attachment is an interesting one. To be honest this is the first time I saw this tool.

And this will turn any veggie like carrot into noodle shaped goodness. You’ll need to cut the ingredient into 4 x 3 inch symmetrical pieces to get the best results.

Attachments

The CT682SP comes with four containers for different types of recipes. These include:

  • Total crushing pitcher – great for making smoothies, frozen desserts and even ice cream
  • Precision processor – this tool is great for chopping veggies for garnishes, pureeing and with the dough attachment, you can make bread or pizza dough.
  • High-speed blender cup – a great option for making single serve smoothies or protein shakes
  • Auto-spiralizer – this will turn any fruit or vegetable into fresh noodles if you’re into such dishes

Warranty

Ninja backs this up with only a one-year warranty which is very short for a blender that’s over $200. But fortunately, Amazon does sell extended warranty of up to 4 years if you need that extra peace of mind.

What can this make?

Like what I’ve said, this blender is a versatile machine. Each of the four containers can make a variety of dishes.

These include:

  • Frozen dessert
  • Smoothies
  • Ice cream
  • Salsa
  • Dips
  • Pureed recipes
  • Salad dressing
  • Spaghetti and fettucine blade

Also, you can also use this to chop fruits and veggies as food prep.

Is this easy to clean?

All containers have removable blades but some review says that it is difficult to clean, especially the part near the blade.

You also have the option to throw these into a dishwasher. Just make sure to rinse food residue so you don’t clog the dishwasher’s filters.

My other concern would be the sharp blades. Please be careful when hand washing them as you can easily cut your fingers if you’re not careful.

What consumers say?

Consumers like the versatility and the “Intelli-Sense” feature that will show a different preset depending on what container you put on top of the motor base. They like this feature because these presets or what Ninja calls “Smart Programs” take away the guesswork in making recipes.

For example if you want to mix dough, just use the dough attachment and use the dough preset for it. Same goes with making smoothies and frozen dessert. It’s got its own preset for walk-away convenience.

Versatile

This machine will replace few appliances inside the kitchen – these include the food processor, spiralizer and mixer. If you’re not baking a huge batch of dough the dough mixing attachment should good enough.

Spiralizer

One unique feature this blender has is the Auto-Spiralizer. A manual spiralizer will cost roughly $30 to $40 but you’ll have to manually crank it.

Ninja’s Auto-Spiralizer is machine driven which means you only have to chop the vegetable or fruit into a cylindrical shape that measures not greater than 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

Good quality

All the containers use thick plastic that won’t easily crack which was the observation of a consumer. It’s the testament of Ninja’s quality.

If there is a concern for me, it would be the short warranty. But you can buy an extended warranty from Amazon so that’s a good workaround for that.

Some issues

Most complaints mention the containers being hard to clean, especially the part below the blade. Just make sure to immediately rinse all the pieces right after using, so it doesn’t dry up.

Where can I buy this?

You can buy this from Amazon for less than $240. And this will be eligible for the free 2-day shipping if you join Prime. Amazon also sells extended warranties of up to 4 years if you feel that the 1 year warranty is not enough.

To wrap up

The Ninja CT682SP Intelli-Sense is a great option if you want a versatile machine that doubles as a food processor. This is one of the best value-for-money options available right now that can replace 2 or 3 appliances you have inside the kitchen.

The motor base is smart enough to recognize what container you put on top and it’ll adjust the presets accordingly.

Not only will you be able to make smoothies but also salsa dips, salad dressing, baby food, guacamole, hummus to mixing dough recipes.

The idea of having unique presets for each individual container is a great idea and lessens clutter, making user experience better.

It’s a big reason why this blender has a high rating on Amazon.
