Vertical slow juicers are quite popular nowadays because these are big space savers and is self-feeding which is excellent for people who suffer from a condition like arthritis but…
…there is a big downer, most of them cost over $300.
The Nutriteam HD-7700 gives you a budget-friendly option at just under $300 but at the expense of warranty.
Looking at the features, this is very similar to the Tribest Slow Star juicer as both have the same auger, screen and juicing bowl design.
Another similarity is the slow 47rpm auger that ensures that virtually no air gets mixed into the juice which is the primary cause of oxidation and nutrition degradation.
This allows you to store juice for at least a couple of days.
Hint busy folks.

Some Unique Features of the Nutriteam HD-7700 and What to Expect
Since this uses an Ultem screen and auger, you can use this every day without worrying about breaking these two essential parts.
For the price you get a lot from this, aside from making juice, you also get a mincing attachment.
This tool allows you to make homemade nut butter, sorbets, baby food, and salsa! It’s this versatility that makes this a popular, yet under the radar item in Amazon.
This will work best on…
…A mix of vegetables and fruits.
But this will extract a little bit more versus vertical auger juicers because of the twin blade system.
Unfortunately, it has one downside
This machine will not be as self-feeding as there is less space in between the blade part that chops and the main body of the auger that crushes.
You’ll need to use the pusher more. Also, the smaller space means that this will be more prone to jamming if you feed stuff in too fast, but it has a reverse function that will help undo this mess.
For fibrous ingredients like celery, you’ll need to chop it into smaller pieces (between 1/8” and 1/4” would be ideal), so it doesn’t clog the pulp ejector port.
More than just making juices, the HD-7700 will be capable of making sorbets, nut butter, salsa, baby food and much more. So this is an all-around food mill ready to help you eat a healthier diet.
How much preparation is needed?
The opening is similar to the Tribest and most other vertical auger juicers, so for produce like apple, carrot, and lemon, you’ll need to pre-cut it into quarters or eights.
For fibrous ingredients like celery, you’ll need to chop it into small bits, around eight to quarter-inch pieces.
So there is a bit of preparation needed.
How long can you store juice?
The auger spins at a slow 47rpm, slower than most slow juicers in the market, so there is virtually no air sucked into the juice thus minimizing oxidation.
You should be able to store juice for up to 72 hours tops, but you’ll have to store it in a glass container, overfilled, so there are no air pockets and keep it refrigerated.
This is great for busy people who might not have time to prep and juice every day.
With that said, I always encourage you to drink juice fresh so to be able to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients.
Is it hard to clean up?
This will take less than 5 to 10 minutes to clean under running water. It comes with a cleaning brush that will help clean the screen, auger, and bowl.
Make sure not to lose that cleaning brush.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Unfortunately, you need to hand wash this, but like what I’ve said earlier, it should not take you more than 5 to 10 minutes cleaning this under running water.
What type of juicer is this?
This is called a vertical auger juicer. The auger sits on top of the motor in a vertical alignment, hence the term “vertical auger.”
How long is the warranty?
The motor comes with a 10-year warranty, but the rest of the parts come with only a 1-year warranty which is the big trade-off I was talking about earlier in this review.
If you’re thinking about buying this, have a look at the Tribest slow star first because even it’s almost $100 more expensive, it comes with a 10-year warranty on the whole juicer.
Is it BPA free?
Nutriteam does not specify whether or not the plastic components are made from BPA free material.
Some consumers have commented that it isn’t BPA free.
Noise
This will not make too much noise because it only spins at a low 47rpm, there will be some squeaks here and there when you’re juicing green leafy stuff like spinach, but that’s because of friction, but that’s normal.
You don’t need to worry about waking up the neighbors when you use this.
Voltage
It is only available in a 120-volt variant so folks living outside North America should buy an AVR if they want to use this safely.

What do consumers say?
Despite the short warranty for the parts, all of the reviews here are positive!
People liked that it costs less than $300 which is almost $100 less than the Tribest.
Good yield
Consumers said that quality was good and yield was excellent when you compare it to a centrifugal juicer. Pulp comes out drier, and it isn’t noisy.
One consumer even compared it to the more expensive Omega NC800, and this juicer more than held its own in terms of the yield.
Clean up is not very easy according to some
Clean up is a mixed bag as some consumers said it was hard while others said it was easy and took them around 5 to 10 minutes.
Remember to use the cleaning brush on the screen. One tool that I like to use would be the chisel part of a cleaning brush to remove pulp off the bottom of the auger and pulp ejector.
Short warranty but people still like it
Overall I find it surprising that it had this much positive feedback despite the short warranty. To give you perspective an Omega VRT that costs almost at the same price range (well maybe a bit more expensive) has a 15-year warranty.
It did well extracting juice from leafy greens as well as hard ingredients like carrot or beet.
Remember to alternate between hard and soft ingredients to maximize the yield.
Where can I buy this?
You can buy this from Amazon, but currently, it is out of stock. Another place where this is available would be at the Nutriteam website where you can get this for less than $300.
To Wrap Up
This would be a great budget option for folks who cannot afford to buy the Tribest slow star juicer because both of these have virtually the same DNA from the motor to the auger design. You’re essentially trading in the full 10-year warranty of the Tribest to be able to buy a cheaper juicer.
The double blade system will yield more juice, but you’ll need to exert a little effort in pushing stuff like apples or celery in so if you prioritize yield then this is the one you should get but if you suffer from a debilitating ailment like arthritis then avoid this.
It will work great on both greens leafy stuff and harder stuff like carrots, but you’ll have to alternate both hard and soft ingredients to maximize yield.
Overall this is a great budget juicer for folks who don’t want to spend over $300 but remember only the motor comes with the 10-year warranty, the rest of the parts only has a 1-year warranty, so there is some concern with the long term viability of this product.
