What to expect from the SKG Multifunctional Blender?
The SKG Multifunctional blender is another good Vitamix alternative if spending more than $300 for something with power and size is not an option for you.
Under the hood, this versatile food mill comes with a 1,400 watt motor. This motor isn’t just powerful but it’s got enough torque to blend through different recipes not just smoothies.
Serrated stainless steel blade
Below the 1.5 liter pitcher is a stainless steel, serrated blade cross knife that is capable of not just blending juice but also grind beans.
Like the Vitamix and Cleanblend, the SKG Multifunctional blender also comes with a tamper. This tool helps immensely with blending stuff like nut butter and frozen sorbet.
In the manual, it also says that it can grind meat! How crazy is that. Aside from the Vitamix and Blendtec, this is one of the few blenders capable of doing such.
To help flatten the learning curve, SKG comes with 8 preset controls ranging from crushing ice, making smoothies, soups to grinding meat. It also has one preset control that will clean the pitcher for you.
SKG recommends using hot water and with some dishwashing soap to clean it.
If you’ve got a big family, this blender is capable of making up to 1.5 liters of juice or smoothies. SKG says that their Tritan jar is shatter proof. And it’s dishwasher safe but only in the top rack.
What can this blender make?
The 8 preset controls pretty much tell you what to expect.
For starters, this machine can make smoothies – fruit and vegetable. The 1,400 watt motor has more than enough power to chop up even the most fibrous greens like celery or kale.
I’m a sucker for gourmet soup and if you’re like me, this blender is also capable of making such thanks to the vents on the lid. This will help steam escape and the jar is strong enough to withstand the heat.
It also has a grind preset that will allow you to grind stuff like coffee beans or wheat.
Hummus lovers will appreciate the blade design and power as this will create consistently smooth results.
For whatever reason you need to grind pork or beef, this machine is also capable of doing such in smaller batches.
Is this blender easy to clean?
In addition to being dishwasher safe, SKG also adds a cleaning preset that’ll help the process of cleaning fast. Just a few drops of liquid detergent and hot water (around halfway) then press the cleaning preset. And the blender will do the rest.
Just make sure to rinse it thoroughly to remove any soapy residue.
SKG does not specify in their Amazon page the length of the warranty. If you check their website, most of their products come with only with a 1 year warranty. So I’m guessing this product falls under that same category.
One workaround for this would be purchasing an extended warranty from Amazon of up to 4 years.
Being a new product, this does not have a lot of reviews so far. But those who left feedback gave it high marks.
One strong point of this blender would be its versatility. Consumers say that that’ve used this to make all sorts of recipes. This includes smoothies, hummus, nut butter, frozen desserts, etc.
Some even made ice cream with this.
One concern though with all the reviews is none of it had a “verified purchase” label. So it could be fake reviews. Take these with a grain of salt.

Where can I buy this?

To Wrap It Up
This blender is another great alternative to a Vitamix or Blendtec if you’re not willing to pay a premium.
It’s has a powerful 1,400 watt motor with 8 preset controls for convenience.
According to SKG, this blender is capable of doing a multitude of recipes from smoothies, juices, to nut butter. There’s also a preset for grinding meat and beans.
So this is a versatile food mill. One big concern for me would be the short 1 year warranty. But you can purchase an extended warranty from Amazon if you want peace of mind.
