Stainless steel is considered one of the best materials for extracting juice because there is no exposure to plastic…
…plus steel does not wear out as fast as plastic.
The Super Angel is the only all stainless steel juicer in the market right now.
It is equipped with the largest gears that will extract more juice compared to single auger juicers.
It is based on video reviews, so take it with a grain of salt.
This juicer isn’t exactly for newbies because of the hefty price tag.
Currently, it goes for over $1,600++ (in Amazon) which is a substantial amount if you ask me.
But for folks who can afford it, it’ll extract more juice than a Norwalk press juicer!
Again this is based on the video I’ll share.
It’ll produce a bit more pulp, but that’s a non-issue because it isn’t too much and you can use a sieve to remove excess pulp.
Features at a glance…
- Body is made from .308 18-8 high-grade stainless steel that will resist corrosion
- 10-year warranty on the motor and five years on the gear
- The new Deluxe model replaces the old A5500 variant with upgraded motor and safety features
- 3HP motor
- Two gears spin at 80 to 82rpm
- 1.2″ feed chute
The Good
- Large metal gears extract a great yield
- All metal construction
- Great for leafy greens
- Long warranty for motor and gears
- Used by some companies for commercial use
The Bad
- Expensive
- Bad aftermarket service (based on some reviews)
- No warranty on wear and tear items

- You need to exert some effort in pushing produce through the chute
- Large footprint
- Unstable feed chute when pushed
What to expect from this Super Angel Deluxe?
The biggest issue that I see with the Super Angel is the warranty and so so aftermarket service.
In their marketing campaign, it says that it has a 10-year warranty, but it’s only for the motor, screen scraper and the two gears.
However, parts like cleaning brush, pusher, fuse and pulp collector won’t be part of the warranty coverage.
This will work best on…
…Green leafy vegetables as the two gears will literally suck it in.
It will also work on non-leafy stuff like apples, carrots, cucumber, and beet but you’ll need to exert some effort to push produce.
If you’re older or have a debilitating condition like arthritis, you may not like the idea of exerting effort so I’d recommend a more self-feeding juicer like the Omega VRT or Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer.
Here’s a short video on the Super Angle juicing Kale, apple, ginger, lemon, and cucumber…
As you’ll see in the video above, it sucked in the kale, but for other produce like apple, he had to use the pusher.
All horizontal auger juicers have this property, and this is a great tool to have for juicing leafy greens.
If you want to make nut butter or process food, you’d have to buy a separate blank plate housing for that; it is not included in the package.
How long can you store juice?
There will be little oxidation because the auger rotates at just 100rpm. You can store juice for up to 48 hours.
For the best results, store it in a glass container, overfilled so that there are no air pockets.
Do you need to chop?
Based on the video I showed you earlier, there is no need to pre-cut leafy greens, but for produce like apple and cucumber, you’ll need to cut it in quarters or eights so that it fits in the 1.2-inch feed chute which is pretty small.
How much juice can it extract?
I found a video on YouTube that compared the Norwalk to the Super Angle, and the results were surprising.
At least in this test, Super Angel was able to extract more juice than the Norwalk which is impressive. However, there are some holes in the test like using the hydraulic press a second or third time.
Is it easy to clean?
You’ll only need to clean four parts in the Super Angel juicer – the two gears, screen housing, pusher, and screen housing cover.
This is the toughest part to clean…
But the manufacturers have provided a stainless steel scraper type tool to remove pulp, a better tool to use would be a nylon brush (an oversized toothbrush) like this one.
It is important to note that you have to clean it ASAP because of the pulp gets dry because it will be a pain to clean because there are a lot of hard to reach recesses around the screens.
Here’s a short video demonstrating how to clean the different parts…
Is it dishwasher safe?
Stainless steel is safe inside a dishwasher, so it’s dishwasher safe.
Remember before putting this inside a dishwasher, clean the screen well.
What type of juicer is this?
This is called a dual gear juicer because it has two gears that help cut up and crush produce.
It produces a significant amount of juice and will hold its own even against a press juicer like the Norwalk.
How long is the warranty?
The new Deluxe variant comes with a 10-year warranty on the motor and 5-year warranty on wear and tear parts.
The cleaning brush, wooden pusher, juice collector and fuse aren’t included in the warranty.
Is it BPA free?
Since this product is stainless, you will not worry about dealing with chemicals from plastic.
Noise
It rotates at just 80-82rpm noise should not be an issue. You’d be able to use this even with your wife and children sleeping the next door.
Voltage
Super angel does not specify the voltage. My guess is it comes in a 120-volt option.
Motor
Super angel says that this comes with a 3hp motor that has an overheat sensor and a fan that cools down the motor.
It comes with “6 safety devices with Electromagnetic Wave Protection”.
The 3hp motor provides some serious crushing power based on video reviews — the two gears spin at 82rpm.
Dimensions
- 7.8” x 10.5” x 19” (width x height x depth)
- Weighs around 20 pounds

What consumers say
Despite the warning from John Kohler about the poor warranty a lot of people bought and liked this product! It got a higher rating than its rival, the Green Star GSE-5000.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AulTh-XRAtY
Overall, consumers liked how much juice it yielded, particularly from leafy greens.
Some even used it on wheatgrass. It still can juice other ingredients like beet and carrot effectively.
It struggles if you juice soft produce like orange or lemon exclusively because it needs something hard to push it out.
Build quality was great according to most of the reviews, but there were some complaints about it being wobbly when you put pressure on the feed chute.
That can be remedied by putting a piece of towel underneath the juice catcher so that it becomes more stable.
Cleaning is another common complaint, particularly the screen housing is so long, and there are recess areas that are hard to reach.
This can be remedied by using a nylon brush instead of the scraper that Super angle provides.
Back up is another common problem, particularly when juicing hard and fibrous ingredients like carrots or celery, one workaround would be buying the wooden pusher with the o-ring.
Several consumers have theirs for years, and it is still going strong, the key for them is proper usage and thoroughly cleaning the screen because it can be prone to clogging.
Where can I buy this?
You can buy this in Amazon for a little over $1,600. And it’ll be eligible to their free 2-day shipping if you join Prime.
Extended warranties of up to 5 years are available if you want that extra peace of mind.
If you buy this in Amazon, you’ll get the 10-year warranty on the motor plus year five years on the wear and tear parts.
The verdict
This juicer is great for people who want to get the maximum yield from leafy greens as well as hard produce like carrots without spending twice as much for a Norwalk juicer.
Make no mistake this is an expensive juicer at over a thousand dollars! Despite that enormous price tag, consumers still give it a high rating, which says a lot to the functionality of this product.
The biggest drawback is the aftersales service or the lack thereof according to some consumers, so there is a risk in buying this machine.
USJuicers.com has since moved to a new site Super Angel Juicers and clearly stated the warranty terms and conditions plus it listed their physical address along with their phone numbers and emails.
If you’re not willing to take that risk, then I advise you to stay away and go for a Green Star GSE-5000 twin gear juicer instead that is backed with a 12-year warranty.
But if you’re willing to take the risk and know how to use a twin gear juicer properly, then this could be a long term investment.
I bought the Angel 8500, and couldn’t be more happy with it. My friend introduced me to juicing, but she had the Magic Bullet Juicer, which mainly juices hard veggies, not leafy greens. I use it for some hard veggies (carrots, beets, etc..) but mostly leafy greens (kale, wheat grass). So far it has been pretty amazing. My husband and I love the taste of the juice, and the cleaning is fairly easy. What I typically do is remove the screen housing soon after I juice, scape off the surface with the metal scraper they provide, then use the brush inside. That gets most of the fibers out, however if there is still any remaining, I use my knitted dish cloth that seems to work wonderfully at getting out any last remains.. This literally takes a total of 2-3 minutes. My friend who absolutely hates cleaning and washing dishes would hate it, but for me I would rather spend 2-3 minutes cleaning a product that offered superior juice quality and quantity… Than use a cheaper centrifugal juicer that offered little benefit other than maybe in the cleaning:)
Kate,
Wow. Thank you for such a detailed review.
I bought the 5500 four months ago and absolutely love it. I’ve never had a juicer so easy to clean- I just toss the parts in soapy water while I drink my juice and with scrubbing an old toothbrush over the screen it’s clean in 2 minutes. The stainless steel is so much easier to maintain than other plastic juicers I’ve had in the past. It crushes an amazing amount of juice from greens and if you chop your harder veggies into smaller chunks the feeder tube is not difficult. Wish it had come with the extra screen for softer fruits, but use mostly greens and veggies anyways. It’s an investment, but worth it if you juice often.
Thank you Nikki for sharing your experience with this juicer
There are several videos on youtube demonstrating the performance of Super Angel Juicers or what comes in with the box so I am not going to waste your time. I am writing this review to make sure you are aware of none of the Super Angel Juicers carry a safety mark. With that being said, the products have never been tested for risk of shock, risk of mechanical and risk of fire by a National Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). The juicer that I purchased doesn’t even have CE mark. I am so surprised that this expensive juicer being sold around the world with zero safety marks on the product. The product is made in Korea.
So it’s your call. If you want an outstanding juicer but don’t care about one day you might get an electric shock while using it then this is the one.
Hello Super Angel people. I wondered why you would not address this person’s review of the juicer not being NRTL tested, or carry the CE mark. I am seriously considering purchasing the Super Angel Deluxe and I am reading as much as I can on the machine. I was just about to purchase it from one of your affiliated dealers until I read this review. I know the juicer is wonderful as all reviewers state, but now I have this concern about safety. Please address this review that was left on January 5th, 2018. Many thanks, Sandy
