Most electric wheatgrass juicers like the Omega and Kuvings will cost over $200.
Not many people will want to spend that much for an extractor.
Here’s a cheaper alternative that will perform pretty decently for the price.
Ladies and gents, here is the Lexan multi-purpose juicer.
For those of you who are looking for something below $200, have a look at this.
It will only cost just a tad under $180.
This product is entirely different from other horizontal juicers in that this does not have any internal juicing screen.
The absence of this feature will limit this in terms of yield.
But should this stop you from buying it? Scroll down to find out.

Features in Detail
This comes with two augers; the green one is designed for vegetables and an orange one for fruit. It does not have any internal juicing screen, so all the juice goes out through a small hole.
The only screen included is an external screen that fits on the catch cup.
This design works well in theory for wheatgrass and leafy greens but will struggle with fruit and hard vegetables.
This will work best on…
…Green leafy vegetables like wheatgrass, spinach, kale, etc.
But for hard root crops like vegetables and beet, it will struggle because it does not have an internal screen and all the juice comes out a small hole on one side.
It limits its efficiency when it comes to yield.
Juicing wheatgrass…
It does have two augers – the green one for vegetables and orange for fruit, but I’m guessing you could get away with using the green auger for juicing fruit.
Included in the package are end caps that you can use to make frozen sorbets and extrude pasta.
How long can you store juice?
This product only rotates at 76rpm, so juice quality is at par with more expensive juicers.
Using this, you can store juice for around at least a day or two so you can prepare a larger batch and store it in mason jars if you are busy.
How much preparation is needed?
It has a 1.5” diameter round feed chute so for ingredients like kale or spinach; you don’t need to chop.
For stuff like apple or large carrots, you’ll need to at least quarter it to fit in the chute.
How much juice can it extract?
The absence of an internal juicing screen affects the yield, in a juice off made by John Kohler, this produced around 35% less than the Omega 8003 juicing baby spinach and cucumber.
A lot of consumers who left a review also complained about the poor yield.
It, however, does not make too much foam and almost zero pulp.
Here’s the video of the juice off.
Is it hard to clean up?
The absence of an internal screen makes this much easier to clean.
Based on a review done by John Kohler, he says that it only takes him less than a minute to clean this because it has very few moving parts.
What type of juicer is this?
It is called a horizontal masticating juicer because the auger is horizontally positioned beside the motor.
This machine is also called a slow juicer because the auger only spins just 76rpm.
How long is the warranty?
If you look at Amazon, it only states that the motor comes with an 8-year warranty, but if you go directly at HealthyJuicer.com, it says there that the motor has a 50-year warranty, but the rest of the parts only come with a 1-year warranty.
So while this is at least $50 cheaper than other brands, the short warranty for the parts concerns for me.
Is it BPA free?
Lexan confirms that this uses BPA-free components.
Noise
If you watch the video above, it is a little bit noisier than the 8003, but it isn’t as loud as a centrifugal extractor.
Voltage
If bought in Amazon, it is only available in 110-volts.
Dimension
- 7” x 11” x 15” (width x height x depth)
- Weighs around 16.5 pounds

Consumer Rating
The biggest complaint made by users is the low yield which is the biggest reason for the sub-par rating.
One reviewer said something interesting that to get the more yield from this product you’d have to feed in the pulp a second time to extract more because the pulp that comes out is still wet so running it through the auger makes a lot of sense.
Consumers say that it is very easy to clean and worked well on leafy greens but will struggle with fruit like apple and hard ingredients like a carrot.
Another positive for consumers is the price, at just under $180 you can have an electric wheatgrass juicer but it has a short one year warranty on the parts, so it’s something to think about long term.
Where can I buy this?
The best price I found online was in Amazon where you can buy this for less than $180 if you buy this directly from Healthy Juicer you’d have to pay over $180.
The verdict
It would be great for folks looking for budget wheatgrass and leafy green juicer.
Yield will be so, so because of the lack of an internal screen.
The small stature of this machine makes it easy to clean. It usually takes less than a minute, so it’s something you’ll use often. The design allows this to extract juice more efficiently than a centrifugal juicer. But it won’t extract as much as brands like Kuvings, Omega or Samson.
